Construction Trades Training

In partnership with the Association of Village Council Presidents (AVCP), Yuut Elitnaurviat offers construction training throughout the year, preparing students to begin a new career in the fast growing construction field. Each certificate program will serve between 12 and 16 participants. These trainings provide both hands-on and classroom experience in the field of Construction and Maintenance. Most classes utilize NCCER curriculum and are taught by an NCCER Certified Instructor.

Students must have a HS Diploma or GED and a clean criminal background. Contact Alfred Wallace at (907) 543-0993 or if have any questions about these training opportunities.

For scholarship opportunities, call Kaitlyn Delacruz at AVCP at 907-543-7443.

In an effort to keep students safe from COVID exposure, all Yuut students are required to stay on the Yuut campus and quarantine to the campus the entire time they are here for training. Students will not be allowed to leave campus unless it is an emergency, and they will not be allowed to interact with family members or anyone else other than their instructors, cook, and designated Yuut staff. This also applies to the instructors and the cook. If you are not able to commit to quarantine to campus, you will not be eligible to apply. Thank you for your understanding.
